The foliage was the focus this morning and their shadows took on a life of their own. The weather was clear and my walk ended with some interesting clouds in 3 layers that moved in several directions.

I had a rather busy photographic day after I was drenched during my morning walk.
( I instinctively did not take the camera this morning. What a blessing, I 'm not sure how it would have coped with the wet!)

It was a rather ordinary Saturday and the weather made my day a day of photographic meditation as I took some 150 shots.

I have been savouring these magnificent colourful sunset displays nature has offered.
The light changes so rapidly that I often dare not blink so as not to miss that second the light is at its most magnificent. (One can see how it can be thought of as visual poetry.)

Well, another year has made its way to our door and I have a feeling it will be as busy and eventful as 2008.

However, the weather today was most uneventful. Rather dull actually. I was nt feeling my usual self as I often do when we see the barometer drop..so does my mood and energy.

Went for drive to the Gold Coast for a rainforest walk at Springbrook.
It was a sweltering day at 35+ºC.

Reed grass has been flourishing at the local forest reserve. 6.33pm

Clouds were putting on a spectacular show of almost biblical proportions. 5.27pm

Amazing clouds. Like a volcanic eruption rising from the ground.
